Belize City, Belize: 9 days/8 nights November 11-20 Come to Belize to meet all of our amazing students that we work with during our after-school program and at the Unity School! You will help host and bring to life camp T.O.U.C.A.N (Teaching Outstanding Urban Children Awareness Now) where students are able to come every day after school for a week and get a healthy snack, help progress their literacy skills, learn team building skills and incorporate literacy into art skills!!! For some of these children this is CRITICAL to their education as the school we work with is trying desperately to overcome severe literacy deficits! During our time in Belize we will also swim with sea turtles and go cave tubing and ziplining. Whether you are an education major, computer science major, health science major or anything in between this trip is one you don’t want to miss out on! Austin, Texas: 8 days/7 nights December 15-22 Come to Austin Texas with us for an amazing adventure filled with hot air balloon rides and working side by side with a tiny home community for chronically homeless people! We will work directly with the residents in this tiny home community for the formerly chronically homeless of Austin Texas! Want to see what this community is all about? Check out their website here: https://mlf.org/community-first/ We will take flight in a sunrise hot air balloon ride on Monday then dig in and roll our sleeves up to work within the community Tuesday through Saturday. This is a great way to learn all of the ins and outs of community service/non-profit work and see the amazing side of human services work. You will not be disappointed with this trip! During the week we will also sight see around Austin and do some last-minute Christmas shopping for those hard to buy for family members!! Registration is now open!!
